Finally this nonsense has been cleared up by somebody that you cannot argue with. FINALLY!

I'm tired of hearing these silly theories and references to the Mad House era, the Bashment Party song and all the other BS some elders keep talking about. People that were around long before me and simply should know better. The fact that no Jamaican ever refers to Dancehall as "bashment" should have been enough. To my knowledge nowhere else in the world uses that term either, although if I'm mistaken it's still irrelevant because the only place that matters is the place of origin, Jamaica.

Anyway, old habits die hard and people will continue to use the term, which I can live with, but I don't want to see or hear anybody trying to debate what the correct term is or try to draw a line between the two terms as if they represent different music. The self-proclaimed King of Dancehall has spoken and on that note, good morning and have a great week people!
