Hey Fam, I need someones perceptive and advice on this please
I have lived at my council property for 11 years - 5 of which i have been a victim of horrible racism from one family - which ovetime extended to 3 as they were a friend of the one family. During those years i have been physically attacked, called racist names daily and had my contents vandalised.
The council and the police were extremely unhelpful- even though i had both video, photo and documented evidence. I went through the complaints procedure - who was also unhelpful as they are paid by the council to put a lid racial incited hate crime. I was blackmailed by the council into keeping quiet to what was happening to me and told they will not help me despite the fact the neighbour who has been harassing me has several complaints logged against her ( from a few other neighbours of race) .
Her son was involving in a killing of a college kid in the area - which was highly publicized in the newspapers . The woman was also responsible for a death of an elderly neighbour-again in the neighbourhood.
After all else failed in my complaint. I approached the local MP expressing my interest to move away from the area. At first he was very responsive and seemed as though he was going to help.
Prior to making contact with him, i applied for housing via several areas and was constantly given a low banding due to no locate connection-despite providing all evidence to them as to the reasons why i want to move.
As time went on, i found that the MP's prompt contact slowed down. He began to ghost me. When i emailed him again after a recent incident happened, he responded and told me he will approach the Mayor. It was been 3 weeks and i have not heard a thing. I approached him and -again i was ghosted.
It just appears to me that Council , the Police lies overrules any help given to victims of racial harassments and the only time MPs only overrule any decision when it is a benefit to them.
I am not open to exchange due to the fact my stalker neighbour is highly manipulative and will find out where i had gone too. Private housing i simply cannot afford - not to mention a lack of security,
I would like to know anyones take on this?
