Adeptales: “Hi Annie, when someone says to you “I Don’t Mean To Sound Racist But”, what is the first thought that comes to your mind?”
Annie: “Um I’m a firm believer in not what you tell me but WHY you are telling me.
So when someone says something like to me I’m always like ‘where are we going with this?’
I’m not here, really to educate people. I think if people are not racist, then they need to educate themselves further. They don’t need to prove to anyone - especially me - that they are not racist. So check yourself, before you wreck yourself!” *giggles*
Adeptales: “Excellent. And just to follow up when someone has said that to you, what is your response?”
Annie: “Normally it would be like “Ah! Ok! And then I walk off because girl doesn’t have time” *giggles*
