Genetics play a big part in ones personality & behaviours. This being said would you suggest that the way we mate/reproduce be more of a logical than emotional decision?

You could reproduce with a person who could potentially be a serial killer, has a deranged mindset, this individual may have also had a troubled time growing up but has wonderful personality on the surface ,

You don’t know of this persons underlining behaviours or thoughts so you decide to go and have a child with this person because they make you laugh, they are intelligent and very likeable and it would be logical to have a child with this person, but this would also be an attraction therefore an emotional decision, how your child will turn out is anyone’s guess, but I would certainly question the integrity and mentality of a person who was having a baby soley for logical reasons

Jay ooooo I like your thoughts! I also think trying to choose from a logical view is a form of control as no matter how much we think we can plan things life inevitably shows us there are so many other factors and variables that can take precedence altering the end outcome. It’s the whole nature/nurture debate, a lot more people think environment influences personality more than what our genetic makeup produces.
