Learn the 7 Powerful Principles of Kwanzaa embraced by frontroom

Kwanzaa has 7 powerful principles that frontroom embodies, embraces and encourages visitors, users and members to follow as an inspiration and way of life on a daily basis with a view to celebrating our resulting achievements during the December Kwanzaa time of reflection.

frontroom lives by these principles to help make a positive difference to our community.

 

What are the seven principles of Kwanzaa

 

  • Umoja (Unity): To strive for and to maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race.
    When you join frontroom it should be your intention to post content for the growth, strengthening of the family,  community, nation and race, whether this is through your timeline or news feed by commenting, sharing, reacting, or engaging with users.

  • Kujichagulia (Self-Determination): To define and name ourselves, as well as to create and speak for ourselves.
    On frontroom content and communication should give our perspective, our voice, opinions,  black media networks, black news networks, black bloggers, and black vloggers more credibility by each person is accountable for ensuring the information, to their knowledge is factual. frontroom is not here to serve fake information and any information posted is the views of the user.

  • Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility): To build and maintain our community together and make our brothers' and sisters' problems our problems and to solve them together even if you do not know them.
    As a user of frontroom you will meet wonderful people, talented people, intelligent and like-minded people including yourself, however sometimes we all may need support and we must help each other,  some people may request for help of any sort, don't ignore them, acknowledge their request by commenting, sharing or pointing them to someone who can help

  • Ujamaa (Cooperative economics): To build and maintain our own stores, shops, and other businesses and to profit from them together.
    frontroom has some great tools and features to build, market, and recirculate the black pound, we encourage businesses, startups, entrepreneurs, entertainers, promoters, DJ's etc to set up a page or profile to build your brand within the frontroom and as a BC user, we encourage you to support by buying, commenting, sharing and championing those businesses.

  • Nia (Purpose): To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.
    frontroom believes we MUST have and support true black related Platforms, Media networks, Social networks and physical infrastructures by making it a requirement to use these daily, these platforms will be the catalyst to improving the black community for the future and will only be possible with effort, pride, belief and dedication by its users.

  • Kuumba (Creativity): To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.
    frontroom users love to inspire, encourage, support, and give back to the community in any way they can in order to drive and push a positive narrative, we must take control of making our community beautiful and beneficial, we must not walk with our hands out but must be prepared to hand out, to lift up and to inspire. Content creation and creativity is a powerful way to make a difference.

  • Imani (Faith): To believe with all our hearts in our people, our parents, our teachers, our leaders, and the righteousness and victory of our struggle.
    Blackhat believes in trust, respect and the upliftment of each person. We believe in our community and we know you do too, we believe you will take every effort to use frontroom to make a difference for your community, we believe you will support the members on this platform and they will support you and together we shall change the perception and the narrative of the black community ourselves.
