Any software developers, programmers, coders on here? About to purchase a new laptop and wondering what the suggested spec would be for a coding beginner? Something that won't need upgrading every 5 minutes but is more than adequate for tasks?

I'm thinking i5 (gen?), 16gb ram and 256gb ssd...

16gb ram is fine for now 256gb ssd is great for installing basic coding software maybe if you start with the big coding ide's and other software then it may start taking up space so save your work on an external hard drive, see if you can get an i7 processer (Not needed) but it will handle many browser windows, coding widows, emails, team software if you need them, i5 should be ok though. What coding language are you learning?
