Suicide Prevention Workshop- Recognise suicide risk and optimise prevention
It is estimated that a person dies by suicide every 40 seconds somewhere in the world. This equates to over 800,000 people dying by suicide worldwide each year.
On this workshop, you will:
• Gain a broader understanding of suicide.
• Explore suicide rates and patterns and explore common risk factors.
• Look at the social and cultural factors that can influence suicidal behaviour.
• Explore suicide first aid
• Discuss suicide stigma experiences related to suicide
• Consider contagion
There will also be the opportunity for open discussions and a dedicated question answer session.

By the end of the course, you will be able to...
• Explain some of the risk factors for suicide
• Reflect on the impact of suicide at a personal and societal level
• Explore the role of stigma in the context of suicide

This workshop is for anyone interested in health and mental well-being. Anyone in the community over 18.
