Tracy Brabin - West Yorkshire Mayor

Alison Lowe - West Yorkshire Deputy Mayor

Tanya Wilkins - Detective Superintendent in charge of Crime, Bradford

Tracy Brabin has formally taken the oath to exercise the functions of police and crime commissioner as the Mayor of West Yorkshire.

This week we have an amazing event with our guests listed above. We encourage our community to attend this event if they have any questions and/or want to know more about what the newly elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor have planned for the future, within Police and Crime Commissioner. We have had Alison as a guest previously and it was a very informative and engaging event indeed.

We also welcome back Tanya, who previously worked in Kirklees and has recently been promoted to her current post in Bradford. Tanya has a world of knowledge from working in the Force for many years and has climbed many ladders to get where she is today.

We welcome everyone to come along and enjoy our Panellists experience and knowledge this evening, blessings!

Sharing Dreams and Struggles Within our Black African Caribbean Community

We are looking forward to meeting our black African Caribbean community and others from anywhere within the UK and abroad. Being able to converse and share things with others who share the same heritage and ideals is indeed a good way of coming together in unity, solidarity and strength.

We are encouraging our community to strive towards the changes that need to happen along with offering support in any way possible. Lets engage in some quality time and enjoy sharing anything we feel to discuss together, during our regular online sessions.

Systemic and institutional racism along with oppression is and has always been prevalent in the UK regarding our black/brown African Caribbean community residents, this must and has to change now.
