BAME, Diversity and Inclusion: Lloyds Banking Group

An event hosted by Manchester Met Accounting, Finance and Banking department for Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority students.

One of Lloyds Banking Group’s strategic aims is to increase the ethnic diversity of its workforce and unlock the potential of its Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic colleagues. As part of this aim, they launched their Race Action Plan in July 2020, and this session is designed to help our Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority students have a greater awareness of what career opportunities and roles are available in banking, with a specific focus on Lloyds.

As part of their regional aims, we are delighted to announce that the North of England Retail Banking Region is making five part-time Customer Service Assistant roles available exclusively to Man Met students, a form of internship whereby the successful applicant would be contracted to work a minimum of 7 hours per week in the Greater Manchester network of branches.

In order to help provide more detail on what this involves, we have invited a couple of local branch managers to the university to share what ‘a day in the life of branch banking’ looks like and be available to answer any questions you may have. Places at this session are limited, available to all undergraduate and postgraduate students in our Accounting Finance and Banking department and can be applied for via Eventbrite. These roles will also qualify for RISE points towards your final degree transcript.
