Is Hair Loss the new Hair Movement? Products, Process, Nature or Nurture?

days hours remaining
We will be discussing hair growth and hair loss and whether the answer lies in products , processes, nature or nurture.

The Event

This webinar is brought to you as part of a series of four webinars that are taking place in Black History Month.

We aim to advance the conversations on Afro hair by connecting our audience with a range of speakers covering a range of interesting topics.

At this webinar, we explore whether hair loss has become the new Hair Movement, and whether the answer lies in products, processes, nature or nurture.

We previously attended the House of Commons and brought to the forefront the perceived epidemic of hair loss in black women. We now debate some of the possible causes of this and where the answer lies.

We talk about the hair type classification system that was developed in the 1990's and the popular rice water challenge.

Speakers

We hear from Certified Hair Practitioners Althea Hamilton, Claudine Collins, Gillian McKenzie, Natalya Moosa, Novella Yeboah and Paris Reveira.

Host

This webinar will be hosted by author and Certified Trichologist, Lorna Jones of Caring for Hair Trichology clinic. She obtained a Science degree before studying to become a Trichologist and undertook her clinical training in various parts of the world including Australia, South Africa, Washington and the UK. Lorna qualified from the prestigious International Association of Trichologists. She is also the Group leader of the UK CCCA Support group run by the Cicatricial Alopecia Research Foundation (CARF) who are based in the US.
